# Anteil Landwirtschaftsbetriebe mit Geflügel

## Description

Wie bereits in den Vorjahren nahmen die Rindviehbestände 2019 weiter ab (-1.2%). Besonders ausgeprägt war dieser Trend bei den Milchkühen (554’600 Tiere, -1.7%). Seit 1999 sind die Milchkuhbestände um 19% gesunken, die Zahl der Zuchtbetriebe hat sich ebenfalls verringert (-47%).
Beflügelt vom Erfolg der Bioproduktion gewann die Rindfleischproduktion analog zu den Vorjahren an Bedeutung: Die Zahl der Mutterkühe nahm um 2.2% zu. Ihre Bestände haben sich innerhalb von 20 Jahren verdreifacht (1999: 41’200; 2019: 128’300). Im Bereich der Schweinefleischproduktion gingen sowohl die Anzahl Produzenten (5’800; -5.7%) als auch die Tierbestände (-4.1%) zurück.
Die Geflügelzucht verzeichnete 2019 insgesamt einen Aufschwung (+2.5%). Aufgrund der steigenden Nachfrage nahm der Bestand der Legehühner gegenüber 2018 um 5.3% zu. 18% davon werden unter einem Biolabel gezüchtet. Die Zahl der Mastpoulets blieb dagegen im Vorjahresvergleich stabil.
Auch die Schaf- und Ziegenbestände blieben 2019 praktisch unverändert. Letztere werden hauptsächlich in den Kantonen Bern, Graubünden, Wallis und St. Gallen gehalten. Drei Viertel der Milchschafbestände werden nach den Regeln der Biolandwirtschaft gezüchtet.
