Auf 398’800 Hektaren (38% der LN) wurde Ackerbau betrieben. Die sonstigen Flächen (38’200 ha; 4% der LN) bestanden unter anderem aus Rebland (13’400 ha) und Obstanlagen (7’000 ha). Die Kulturen entwickelten sich 2019 unterschiedlich. Die Anbaufläche für Brotweizen (73’600 ha) ging um 2.8% zurück, jene für Zuckerrüben schrumpfte 2019 um weitere 1’000 Hektaren auf 17’600 Hektaren. Auch die Anbaufläche für Gemüse nahm ab (11’900 ha; -2.1%), nachdem sie mehrere Jahre gewachsen war. Der Anbau von Sonnenblumen stieg hingegen 2019 an (5’900 ha; +9.6%). Besonders stark gewachsen sind auch die Anbauflächen für Hafer (1’700 ha, +5.2%) und Dinkel (5’700 ha, +6%). Einige Nischenkulturen wie Hirse und Sorghum, Hanf und Linsen sind ebenfalls auf dem Vormarsch. Der Biolandbau ist inzwischen ein fester Bestandteil der Schweizer Landwirtschaft und wird auf 16% der Flächen betrieben. Die biologisch bewirtschafteten Anbauflächen machen beim Gemüse 21%, bei den Hülsenfrüchten 29% und bei den Reben 10% aus. Bio-Zuckerrüben sind hingegen mit lediglich 1% nicht sehr verbreitet. ## Sources - FSO (2020): Farm structure census 2019.
