# Stimmenanteil der Christlichdemokratischen Partei (CVP)

## Description

Die CVP (Christlichdemokratische Volkspartei) wurde 1912 gegründet und existierte bis Ende 2020. Per 1.1.2021 fusionierte die CVP mit der BDP (Bürgerlich-Demokratische Partei). Der neue Name der fusionierten Partei lautet «Die Mitte» und ist im politischen Spektrum zentral angeordnet. Weil die neue Partei sich selbst als liberal-sozial bezeichnet, aber seitens der CVP die Wurzeln aus dem katholisch-konservativen Bereich stammen, stimmt die Partei abwechselnd mit den konservativen oder den liberaleren Kräften im Parlament und stellt daher oft das «Zünglein auf der Waage» dar. Sie wird daher oft als «Königsmacherin» wahrgenommen. Zudem ist die neue Partei «Die Mitte» gemäss ihrer Wählerstärke im Ständerat überproportional stark vertreten und entsprechend einflussreich.

Zuletzt trat die CVP 2019 zu den National- und Ständeratswahlen an und erreichte dabei schweizweit einen Wähleranteil von 11.4 % (bei einem leichten Verlust von 0.2% Wähleranteil) und 25 Mandaten im Nationalrat, sowie 13 Mandaten im Ständerat. Die CVP war zudem von 1891 bis 2020 durchgehen mit einem oder zwei Personen im Bundesrat vertreten. Traditionell war die CVP in den katholisch geprägten Kantonen wie Wallis, Luzern, Appenzell Innerrhoden und Uri die stärkste Partei, in den Kantonen Fribourg, Solothurn, Tessin, Obwalden und Jura immerhin eine gewichtige Partei.

In the embed URL, `dm` sets what is shown: `e` the map with its title bar (default), `p` also the values of an object clicked on the map, `m` only the map with a button that opens it in the atlas. `ig=1` (default) lets the map react to scrolling and dragging only after a click into it, `ig=0` right away. The size can be changed in `style`.
