## Description

### Die Vorlage

Die Initiative will den Bau von Minaretten in der Schweiz verbieten. Die Kontroverse zum Bau von Minaretten basiert auf einer gesellschaftlich-politischen Diskussion, welche seit zehn Jahren geführt wurde.

Das Referendum hat seinen Ursprung in einer Aktion vom 1. Mai 2007, als das «Egerkinger Komitee» – eine Gruppierung von hauptsächlich rechten SVP- und FDP-Politikern – eine eidgenössische Volksinitiative «gegen den Bau von Minaretten» lancierte. Der Bundesrat und das Parlament lehnen die konstitutionelle Verankerung ab, weil sie den Grundprinzipien der Verfassung widerspricht.

Zum Zeitpunkt der Abstimmung 2009 gab es insgesamt vier Minarette in der Schweiz, die zu den Moscheen in Zürich, Genf, Winterthur und Wangen bei Olten gehören. Diese bestehenden Minarette sind durch den Bann nicht betroffen.

### Resultate

Die Initiative wurde von Volk und Ständen angenommen.

Stimmbeteiligung: 53.4%
Ja-Stimmen: 57.5%

In the embed URL, `dm` sets what is shown: `e` the map with its title bar (default), `p` also the values of an object clicked on the map, `m` only the map with a button that opens it in the atlas. `ig=1` (default) lets the map react to scrolling and dragging only after a click into it, `ig=0` right away. The size can be changed in `style`.
