# Andamento dei movimenti aerei per anno

## Description

Nel 2020 l'aviazione civile svizzera ha registrato in totale circa 1,1 milioni di movimenti di decollo e di atterraggio, di cui solo 166 000 attribuibili a voli charter e di linea che coprono quasi il 97% dell'intero traffico passeggeri. Rispetto all’anno precedente, tali dati rappresentano un calo del 24% per i movimenti aerei e del 71% per i passeggeri.

Il massimo numero di movimenti di traffico di linea e charter si è raggiunto nel 2000 (537 813). Fino alla pandemia di Covid 19, è in atto un calo di circa 70 000 (2019: 469 667), pari a -13%. Il motivo di tale flessione va ricercato negli avvenimenti accaduti nel 2001 (attentato alle Torri gemelle di New York e grounding della Swissair), nella crisi finanziaria del 2008, nonché nella generale tendenza verso un maggior numero di passeggeri per volo.
Il calo ha penalizzato soprattutto gli aeroporti di Zurigo (-16%) e Basilea-Mulhouse (-23%) mentre dal 2004 Ginevra esibisce nuovamente una sensibile crescita (+22%). Questo trend inverso è dovuto al fatto che già negli anni Novanta la Swissair si era ampiamente ritirata dall'aeroporto di Ginevra per le lunghe tratte.
