# Aziende agricole biologiche

## Description

Nel 2019 sono state censite 50’038 aziende agricole in Svizzera, ovvero l’1,6% in meno rispetto al 2018. La tendenza, osservata sul lungo periodo, rispecchia il progressivo cambiamento dell’agricoltura svizzera. Nel giro di 20 anni, quasi un terzo delle aziende agricole ha cessato l’attività, a fronte di una superficie agricola utile in diminuzione del 2,6%.
Seppur diminuite di numero, le aziende, raggruppandosi, si sono ingrandite. Infatti nel 1999 ad avere una superficie superiore a 20 ha era un quarto delle aziende, mentre nel 2019 la percentuale è salita al 43%. Inoltre, si osserva come l’agricoltura biologica abbia sedotto un numero sempre maggiore di agricoltori. Nel 2019 l’hanno praticata 7’284 aziende agricole, vale a dire il 3,6% in più rispetto al 2018.
Nel 2019 hanno lavorato nelle aziende agricole 150’100 persone, in calo dell’1,5% rispetto all’anno precedente, il 12% delle quali di nazionalità straniera. La maggioranza delle persone attive lavora a tempo parziale (55%). La manodopera familiare ha costituito oltre i tre quarti di quella totale.
