Le Città dell’energia promuovono le energie rinnovabili, una mobilità sostenibile e utilizzano in modo efficiente le risorse. Il programma Città dell’energia di SvizzeraEnergia offre un esempio di come sia possibile, grazie ad un agire responsabile, migliorare la qualità di vita rispettando l’ambiente ed il clima. Il label è il riconoscimento per una politica energetica coerente e mirata. I Comuni certificati Città dell’energia, applicano un procedimento in diverse fasi che li porta ad una politica energetica, del traffico ed ambientale sostenibile. Autorità, economia e popolazione operano così in sintonia. Il label «Città dell’energia» viene assegnato dalla commissione indipendente dell’«Associazione Città dell’energia». Sino alla fine del 2021 sono stati certificati più di 460 Comuni Svizzeri per un totale di 5.1 milioni di abitanti. Il marchio è registrato nelle quattro lingue nazionali e nella maggior parte dei paesi europei. Il Comune può utilizzare il label «Città dell’energia» per il proprio marketing locale. ### L’European Energy Award Gold L'European Energy Award GOLD (eea) viene assegnato a quei Comuni che hanno attuato almeno il 75 percento dei provvedimenti del catalogo Città dell'energia. Dopo l’ottenimento del label Città dell’energia, il suo Comune può richiedere l'eea entrando a far parte di questa élite e coronando il proprio impegno per un futuro energetico sostenibile. L’European Energie Award è il partner europeo del label Città dell’energia.
