# Densità della popolazione: nuvola di punti

## Description

Tra il 1900 e il 2008, la popolazione svizzera è più che raddoppiata (1900: 3,3 milioni, 2014: 8,2 milioni). Attualmente 73,7% della popolazione vivono in aree di stampo urbano e meno di un terzo in aree rurali abitate. Nel raffronto europeo, ciò corrisponde alla tipica densità di popolazione degli agglomerati.
Per l'insieme della Svizzera, la densità di popolazione è di 206 persone/km² (2014). Nel 2011, le aree urbane sono cresciute dello 1,1%. Nelle aree rurali, invece, la popolazione è cresciuta dello 0,9% e ha raggiunto il livello di circa 2,0 milioni di persone.
