«Atlas of Switzerland – online», Release 2024
We are pleased to present the latest version of the Atlas of Switzerland. Various improvements and bug fixes have been implemented in the new version.
The map navigation, the search functionality and the display of tooltips have been optimized. The Mac version has been better tested and improved. For the first time, a version for ARM processors (Apple M1-M3) is available.

The new Atlas Desktop App is now available for Windows and Mac in the “Download” section.
Below you will find detailed information on the current release.
- New: when zooming in, using the mouse wheel, the map now moves to the current position of the mouse pointer.
- New: Apple Mac models with the new Silicon/ARM architecture are supported.
- Improved: the search in the atlas has been improved so that more relevant search results are displayed.
- Improved: a tooltip with the full term is now displayed for long words in drop-down menus.
- Improved: the display of spherical symbols in thematic maps has been improved.
- Improved: some software libraries used have been brought up to date.
- Fixed: an error in the display of legends on thematic maps has been fixed.
- Fixed: a bug that caused the emoji window to appear under MacOS when entering a search term has been fixed.
