The Atlas of Switzerland Version 3 can now be downloaded as well, and the website is easier to use with a keyboard and screen reader.

New Features

  • Download of Version 3: In addition to Version 4, the Atlas of Switzerland Version 3 is now available for Windows and Mac OS X.
  • Crosshair on click: On selected maps, a crosshair marks the clicked spot instead of outlining the whole object. This keeps the highlight clear even for large areas.

Improved Features

  • Better accessibility: Search, menu, time selection, opacity slider, image gallery and info window are better labelled and can be used with the keyboard.
  • Downloads start faster and run directly in the browser, which shows the progress.

Fixed Bugs

  • The map is no longer rebuilt several times when the page loads.
  • The image gallery no longer crashes after scrolling and no longer briefly jumps to another image when switching images.

Instructions for Use

Version 3 is available for download at https://atlasderschweiz.ch/en/ads3-download, and Version 4 is still available at https://atlasderschweiz.ch/en/ads4-download. Version 3 only runs on older operating systems.
