Release autumn 2024
Autumn is here, and with it the latest version of the Atlas of Switzerland. Various improvements have been implemented and bugs fixed. Among other things, the spatial map navigation via the keyboard and the display of the legend have been optimised.
The new Atlas Desktop App is now available for Windows and Mac in the Download section.
Below you will find detailed information on the current release.
- New: Changing the viewer height with PgUp/PgDown (Mac: Fn + Up/Down) similar to a helicopter. Only functional if you are zoomed in strongly in the landscape (e.g. in a valley or in front of a mountain flank). In combination with the Shift key, the height adjustment is accelerated.
- New: The key combination Ctrl or Alt together with the left-right cursors tilts the viewer section to the left or right. The key combination Ctrl or Alt together with the up-down cursors tilts the viewer section up or down.
- New: If titles in the drop-down menu are too long, a tooltip with the full title is now displayed on hover.
- Improved: The transparency of the UI elements of the map navigation has been adjusted to ensure better visibility.
- Improved: The sensitivity of the zoom buttons has been improved.
- Improved: When querying objects in the map, fields with ‘no data’ are no longer displayed.
